Gomez and Blanco met a long time ago, when Selena was just 17. Gomez’s mother first met Benire at the beginning of her daughter’s music career. They quickly became friends.
Blanco produced two songs on Gomez’s 2015 Revival album. Gomez later appeared on a song by Blanco in 2019. They were seen together again in 2023 on the single Soon. They fell in love that year. The couple finally got engaged in December 2024.
Their duet album, I Said I Love You First, was released in March of this year—a total of 14 songs. Ahead of the album’s release, Spotify released a 33-minute conversation in which the couple discussed their creative process.
Selena said, “Our everyday conversations would become like songs. We would never think that we would have to write a song today. We would just chat and the song would be made.”
Selena’s wedding dress was a halterneck structured gown made of silky satin. The back of the dress was open and fitted to the singer’s body in such a way that she looked like a fairy tale princess. Her hair was styled in a wavy bob style.
Meanwhile, Selena’s husband Benny Blanco was wearing a black tuxedo and bow tie. In a video, Benny is seen adjusting his bow tie and coming forward to kiss Selena.
